【摘要】:Theflashpointtemperatureisonemeasureofthetendencyofthetestspecimentoformaflammablemixturewithairundercontrolledlaboratoryconditions.Itisonlyoneofanumberofpropertieswhichmustbeconsideredinassessingtheoverallflammabilityhazardofamaterial.Flashpointisusedinshippingandsafetyregulationstodefineflammableandcombustiblematerials.Oneshouldconsulttheparticularregulationinvolvedforprecisedefinitionsoftheseclassifications.Note38212;TheU.S.DepartmentofTransportation(DOT)4andU.S.DepartmentofLabor(OSHA)haveestablishedthatliquidswithaflashpointunder37.8x00B0;C(100x00B0;F)areflammable,asdeterminedbythesetestmethods,forthoseliquidswhichhaveakinematicviscosityof5.8mm2/s(cSt)ormoreat37.8x00B0;Cor9.5mm2/s(cSt)ormoreat25x00B0;C(77x00B0;F),orthatcontainsuspendedsolids,orhaveatendencytoformasurfacefilmwhileundertest.Otherclassificationflashpointshavebeenestablishedbythesedepartmentsforliquidsusingthesetestmethods.Thesetestmethodsshouldbeusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,products,orassembliesinresponsetoheatandanignitionsourceundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsandshouldnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthesetestmethodsmaybeusedaselementsofafireriskassessmentwhichtakesintoaccountallofthefactorswhicharepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularenduse.Thesetestmethodsprovidestheonlyclosedcupflashpointtestproceduresfortemperaturesupto370x00B0;C(698x00B0;F).1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationoftheflashpointofpetroleumproductsinthetemperaturerangefrom40to3608212;CbyamanualPensky-Martensclosed-cupapparatusoranautomatedPensky-Martensclosed-cupapparatus.Note18212;Flashpointdeterminationasabove250176;Ccanbeperformed,however,theprecisionshavenotbeendeterminedabovethistemperature.Forresidualfuels,precisionshavenotbeendeterminedforflashpointsabove100176;C.1.2ProcedureAisapplicabletodistillatefuels(diesel,kerosine,heatingoil,turbinefuels),newlubricatingoils,andotherhomogeneouspetroleumliquidsnotincludedinthescopeofProcedureB.1.3ProcedureBisapplicabletoresidualfueloils,cutbackresidua,usedlubricatingoils,mixturesofpetroleumliquidswithsolids,petroleumliquidsthattendtoformasurfacefilmundertestconditions,orarepetroleumliquidsofsuchkinematicviscositythattheyarenotuniformlyheatedunderthestirringandheatingconditionsofProcedureA.1.4Thesetestmethodsisapplicableforthedetectionofcontaminationofrelativelynonvolatileornonflammablematerialswithvolatileorflammablematerials.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Note28212;IthasbeencommonpracticeinflashpointstandardsformanydecadestoalternatelyuseaC-scaleoranF-scalethermometerfortemperaturemeasurement.Althoughthescalesarecloseinincrements,theyarenotequivalent.BecausetheF-scalethermometerusedinthisprocedureisgraduatedin5176;increments,itisnotpossibletoreadittothe2176;Cequivalentincrementof3.6176;F.Therefore,forthepurposesof......
