【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversanenginetestprocedureforevaluatingdieselengineoilsforperformancecharacteristics,includingviscosityincreaseandsootconcentrations(loading).ThistestmethodiscommonlyreferredtoastheMackT-8.ThistestmethodalsoprovidestheprocedureforrunninganextendedlengthT-8test,whichiscommonlyreferredtoastheT-8Eandanabbreviatedlengthtest,whichiscommonlyreferredtoasT-8A.TheproceduresfortheT-8EandtheT-8AareidenticaltotheT-8withtheexceptionoftheitemsspecificallylistedinAnnexA8andAnnexA9respectively.Additionally,theproceduremodificationslistedinAnnexA8andAnnexA9refertothecorrespondingsectionoftheT-8procedure.ThevaluesstatedineitherSIorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasthestandard.Withinthetext,theinch-poundunitsaregenerallyshowninparentheseswhencombinedwithSIunits,andviceversa.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SeeAnnexA6forspecificsafetyprecautions.
